We hired Solatube in 2021 to replace an old skylight. The first two winters were relatively dry, so we didn’t experience any issues. However, during the third winter, when we received more rain, our roof began leaking around the Solatube.I contacted the company multiple times by both phone and email but never received a response. Eventually, my husband had to put a tarp over the area to prevent further water damage. Life got busy, and we put the issue on the back burner.With the possibility of a wet winter ahead, I recently hired another company to inspect the installation. I was shocked to learn that, according to their assessment, Solatube hadn’t even replaced the original skylight flashing. The workmanship was apparently so poor that the contractor described it as looking like something a 12-year-old had done.We initially chose Solatube because their quote was significantly more affordable than the alternatives. At the time, I thought we were getting a great deal. Unfortunately, this has turned into a perfect example of getting what you pay for. Between the questionable installation, the resulting leak, and the complete lack of response when we tried to get help, I’m extremely disappointed. What should have been a straightforward skylight replacement has turned into an ongoing headache.
I would absolutely not recommend this company.

Such a fantastic experience starting with Marco who came out and answered all my questions, including responding promptly to the many I had later as I was weighing my options. Then the installation team lead by Julio was fantastic both when they came out to verify measurements and then again to install. So professional, friendly and committed to meeting my needs and making sure I was happy with the outcome. And of course my new skylight looks fantastic. Kudos to both the product and the customer service. I will definitely recommend this company.

Randy came and did an evaluation and Antonio did the installation and it came out fantastic! Fast, easy, professional. My wife already wants to have more installed.

We have used Brighter Concepts/Solartube for several installations over the years (2005, 2013, 2015, 2017, and now again in 2026) and have never experienced any issues until today 7-9-26 is why I only gave them 4 of 5 stars.
Arron arrived as scheduled to install our new Solar Powered RM2400 Standard Non-Pitched Low Profile unit. He was professional, and the installation appeared to go smoothly.
After he left, I used our in-house attic ladder to inspect the installation. While the overall installation looks good and the fan location is appropriate, I discovered several roofing nails protruding approximately 1–2 inches into the attic space. The fan is located near the 1 o’clock position from the attic ladder entrance, and these exposed nails present a potential safety hazard. Anyone entering the attic who does not immediately notice these nails and duck could suffer a serious head injury.
I called the office, sent a photo of my concern, and received a text response recommending that the nails be ground down to a flat or comfortable length. I then replied asking whether Brighter Concepts would be sending someone out to address the issue, as we do not want to perform any work ourselves that could affect or void the warranty.
At this time, I have not received a response. Given our long history as a satisfied customer, I would appreciate clarification on how the company intends to resolve this safety concern and whether a technician will be scheduled to correct it.
I would use them again but pay more attention to install.

Marco then walked me through a detailed brochure, clearly explaining the entire process and how the lighting would work. Their communication was excellent from the start, they texted me a photo along with the arrival time before both Marco and the technician, Aaron. Aaron was very knowledgeable about the installation. We worked together to finalize the exact placement in the hallway, after which he had full autonomy to complete the job. He climbed onto the second-floor roof, accessed the attic, and finished everything in under three hours while keeping the work area clean and tidy. The total cost came to $1,290 for the large 14" solar tube. We couldn’t be happier with the entire experience and the quality of the installation. Communication was professional and consistent from start to finish. I highly recommend Solatube if you want to brighten up dark areas in your home!

As it turned out, we did have to change the location of one tube due to lack of clearance, but not a problem due to the pre-checking. After installation, we have so much more light. And the guys neatly cleaned up, and also disposed of an unwanted ceiling fan that was replaced by a tube. We're very happy with our Solatube experience!!

Antonio and Adrian did a fantastic job with our installation. We had our kitchen done our family room, our hallway and our bathroom. They were professional on time. Courteous, clean and answered all of my questions. They went above and beyond and even changed out extra light bulbs for me. They took their time to educate me on how to change out my own light bulbs later on in the event that I needed to. Highly recommend this company, thank you for helping us upgrade our home. Photos attached are natural light no light switch on. Also to mention it's an overcast morning and we still have plenty of light

Installation took longer than expected, not due to anything on their end (red tape and politics with our HOA). Their team was super flexible and kept in contact with us throughout the process on our timeline. When the day finally came, Antonio complete our install. He was awesome and very efficient. He walked me through the entire process and double checked placement. We love our new Solatube. The natural light in our dark kitchen is a game changer and the night light is pretty cool too! Would love to hire them again and wish they did new skylights and not just replacements! 😀

The solar tubes were something I wanted for a few years - however I now wish I had installed them sooner!! The impact is so much more than I imagined.
The tubes have brightened up the house so much more than I could have imagined. This also brightened my mood.

The entire solatube process was great. From Randy, who came out to do the survey and the quote, to Silas, who completed the installation faster than expected. He took lots of photos during the process and showed me his work when he was completed… Very clean and professional! the light in these areas really adds a lot of Ambience and functionality to my home, and I'm very happy! So happy that I had another solatube installed by Antonio at another property. Also pleased to say that when there was an issue, Solatube was very fast to come out and take care of it. I am a fan!

We had a 14 in.² Solatube installed a week ago. It has added a tremendous amount of light to the area and we are very pleased. The installer Antonio was wonderful, efficient and friendly. We were so happy with the results that we added two more a few days ago. Again Antonio and his assistant were great.

I found Solatube on Yelp, and they quickly sent someone for an estimate. They explained options for sizes, shapes, dimmers, and adding an additional light to some of them. They also explained some options that had tax rebates. Scheduling was flexible, and they accommodated my request for a late start on the day of installation.
The installation crew was polite, protected the work areas, and went in the room order of installation i wanted, so as to avoid using one of the rooms where a family member needed to sleep in. They consulted me on changing the placement of external openings that in the original plan would have had long hours of shadows. They added some ninety degree angles to pipes. Every change was made with my approval. I'm thrilled with the results--it brightened the rooms exactly as I hoped. The company was professional, easy to work with, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!

Silas the Solutube technician arrived as scheduled. I discussed some concerns on the placement of the garage exhaust fan and roof O'hagen vents. The best placement was on the single garage ceiling due to limited attic access on double garage side. He was able to plug the fan to a 20 amp outlet about 20 feet away. It took about 3 hours with a helper. Job well done.

Silas the Solutube technician arrived as scheduled. I discussed some concerns on the placement of the garage exhaust fan and roof O'hagen vents. The best placement was on the single garage ceiling due to limited attic access on double garage side. He was able to plug the fan to a 20 amp outlet about 20 feet away. It took about 3 hours with a helper. Job well done.

The whole process was great. The person who came out to assess the job was fantastic and the installer was very fast and did a great job. My only wish is that they had told me about "warming lenses" they offer, the light is amazing but a little "cold" in my room and I would have just opted for those from the get-go rather than ordering them after the face. But I can hardly fault them for not trying to sell me more stuff!

The initial representative from Solatube was prompt, informative and explained the installation process with photos and answered all questions I had. I made an appointment for installation 2 weeks later. Christian, the installer was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. He promptly began working installing our one Solatube, cleaned up after himself and was finished in under 3 hours! My laundry room has no windows and was extremely dark. I'm very happy with my Solar Tube with air vent. The 10" tube brightens the bathroom and hallway as hoped. The air vent is so quiet compared to the 1964 fan removed!
Jeremy was great and very personable. He explained what he would be doing though the whole process. He discussed needed changes and let me know he saw some water damage in the attic for me to be aware of.
Also, the job was completed in the 3 hour window quoted and he cleaned up afterwards.

Three of my bathrooms have no windows, it's always pitch black in there even during daytime. For Chinese fengshui, it's not a good thing. And even if it's not fengshui, it just feel less energy at home with areas that stay dark all the time especially with kids at home. I got referred by my family to seek professionals who specialized in tubular daylight installation. Their work is so much better than regular contractor type of installation. And it's one stop shop. You just need to tell them which room you need, they will come to do a free consultation and estimate. The pricing is reasonable with 30% tax credit. My house is quite complicated with double roofing, they managed to finish all 5 of the installations including a dark hallway and walk in closet within two days. I'm happy with the work and really nice customer services. Since then, we don't need to turn on lights at home during daytime. It saves electricity. At night, it has dim light too, which is nice at night if you need to use bathrooms as well. Definitely worth every penny. I high recommended Solatube Home.

I have had a Solatube for over 30 years in my living room. Luv Luv Luv it. I've never had an issue with it and it works just as advertised. Brings in a lot of natural light and the deflector disperses it in the whole room. I've had a few good sized hail storms and the dome on the roof deflected the hail perfectly. Strongly recommend.

They were always on time with their scheduled appointments and made sure to clean up after themselves and also took extra precautions to make sure my cat wouldn't escape during the install, which I greatly appreciated.

We had Solatube come out and install 3 solatubes to our dark house, and we couldn't be more thrilled about the outcome. Honestly they came out 3 days ago, and we have not used the lights in tje hallway or the kitchen since. It is kind of pricey, but very well worth the price for a homeowner who shares the same problem we had. The guys were fast, clean, respectful courteous, efficient, and very knowledgeable. What we thought would be an 8hr job, wound up being a 4hr job. Great investment.

The first time it rained after they installed a skylight, we had water damage, leaks, and a soggy, bubbly ceiling inside our house. A technician came out and said he repaired the faulty installation on the roof, but didn’t test it. Since then we have left multiple messages for Bryce about repairing the interior damage. He has yet to return our phone calls. Damaged drywall, mold, and a ruined ceiling were not mentioned as part of the package we were sold, nor was the abysmal customer service. Beware of Solatube Home Dallas and use them at your own risk.
Regarding the edit below: Bryce's "plan" to address the issue was to do nothing. He told us we'd need to call a roofer if we had further leaks from their product. Even though we'd never had a drop of water leak in before SolaTube came and replaced the skylight, he said he "understood why we might think the skylight had something to do with it," but refused to take responsibility. Use them at your own risk.

My wife and I could not be a happier customers. Everyone we spoke to was very knowledgeable and professional. Tim answered our inquiry promptly, answered our questions, and made an appointment for us. They inspected our attic to ensure it would accommodate the tubular skylight. Afterwards, we decided to add a second tubular skylight and they accommodated our addition without our having to make another appointment. Our installer, Daniel, was polite and professional. We are very happy he recommended a location for the second skylight that was much better than the location we had chosen. Daniel was careful to contain the debris and dust, and he cleaned up afterwards. The product is phenomenal and the installation professional. We had a kitchen and back hallway that were dark and now they have sunlight during the day and provide a well-needed nightlight. Solatube has been around for over 32 years specializing in solar lighting. They’re very professional and knowledgeable. Pete and Preston were the techs installing our solar lighting. We got 5 lights installed and the difference is night and day (pun intended). The kitchen and entry areas are brighter than stadium lighting but it’s entirely solar! The system captures light and diffuses it for a 100% natural light source. The lights are so bright I keep thinking I left a light on. The entire process took about 4 hours but it’s money well spent. Highly recommended and will definitely use them again!

We got a solar exhaust fan installed in our garage. We have existing vents on the side of garage since we have a gas water heater in it. The garage was getting really hot due to afternoon sun and charging our EV in the summer nights. They had to make the vent opening a bit bigger but slightly. The fan is solar powered and turns on when it hits 85 degrees and when the sun is out. The small panel sits flat on your roof. We paid extra for a device to be able to have the fan run at night for 4 hrs on electric power. It lets you set the humidity to low, medium or high. This is great since the car is being charged at night during non peak hours and helps keep the garage cooler. Christian did a great job from start to finish! Thank you!! Highly recommend!

Just got our sunlight installed today and couldn’t recommend this company more! The were very accommodating with our construction schedule, first long delays and then a sudden opening which they rearranged their technician’s schedule to accommodate on short notice.
Then the job took far longer than expected thanks to an added layer of one false ceiling, numerous beams to weave through and tight spaces both vertically and horizontally. This was anything but a straight forward install. And of course this was in the middle of summer. But the technician stayed on top of everything, kept me informed of progress throughout.
Now that the light is installed it’s nothing short of beautiful. We have three other skylights that are 20 years old and barely put out any light compared to Solatube. Solatube turned a cave of a bathroom in to a bright spot and it’s going to be stunning once it’s all completed thanks to the natural light that is now able to reach this otherwise windowless addition.
Christian is a rock star and the whole team is professional and easy to work with. We may very well get those older skylights replace after all!

After driving all over the city you finally ending up at my destination. There was nothing there. Had to call the corporate office because nobody would pick up the phone at the local office. And that reason after confirming was that the place there was no longer in existence. Everything supposedly available online. No local store

Christian did a fabulous job! Very nice and hard working. Very pleased with Solatube. Kept us informed and updated through the whole process. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
